On June 12, 2005, the commencement address at Stanford University was delivered by Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple Computers, famous for his many presentations about Apple products and more recently his pitches for iPod music players. This speech, however, was not about a product, but about a philosophy. Although he was at the height of his fame, Jobs would speak as much about disappointment as about success. Looking out over a crowd of more twenty thousand, Jobs admitted that he had never before attended a college graduation, nor even completed a college education.
